First Haircut

Miss Kailee got her first haircut almost two weeks ago. I never thought this day would come. Kody and I joked that Grayer would get his first haircut before Kailee ever did. I was getting my hair done the week before and I asked my hairstylist if she thought cutting Kailee's hair would make it grow faster and thicker. She said it might but ultimately baby hair just comes in when it wants to. So she and I decided to give it a try and I brought Kailee in a few days later.

When we first got there Shannon (my hairstylist) held her for a while and Kailee talked her ears off. Then when she had sufficiently warmed up to Shannon (30 seconds later) we were ready for the haircut. I wanted to get some pictures of her actually getting her hair cut but she wanted to sit on my lap the whole time, so I sat in the chair with her. Kailee sat pretty still and it was over in about 10 minutes. She got lots of hairspray which she loved- Oh how she loves hairspray! And then she got a little bottle of water and a tootsie roll. She was in Heaven.

She is still talking about her haircut and wants to go back. She asks me for hairspray for her haircut a couple times a day. And today she tripped over a toy, fell flat on her face, and when she got up and I asked if she was ok she said, "Oh no. My hair got messed up!"

And Grayer is cute.

Poor boy. I should really get him a more manly colored Bumbo.
