Oh Grayer. Our Chunk-a-Boo, Wiggle Baby, Bubba Boy. You are into everything these days. Today you crawled behind the TV and unplugged it. You drive sister crazy, just wanting to be wherever she is. You follow her around and steal her princesses so you can chew on those irresistible rubber dresses. You are constantly yanking on mommy's drapes and rolling up my rugs. You pull on lamp cords and chew on magazines. It's like having a puppy. You're strong too. Sissy never wins in all the various tug-of-wars over her toys. And when I'm holding you and getting something out of the fridge, you dive right for the milk cartons in the door and pull them straight out. It's a little shocking to see an eight month old holding a half gallon of milk.
This morning while we were driving to Grandma June's house, I heard you and Kailee giggling in the backseat. We had to scoot your carseat over right next to hers, because you two love holding hands in the car lately. She was fishing around in your mouth with her fingers, and you both thought it was hilarious. All of the sudden Kailee yelled, "He has teeth! He has teeth! Ouchie! They're white!" I thought she was just making it up; we have had several conversations lately about how you have no teeth so she cannot share her food with you. And besides that, I have been checking your gums for teeth everyday for the last month because you've been a little cranky, snotty and drool-ier than usual lately. But sure enough, when we got to Grandma's I checked and Kailee was right! Not one, but two little teeth have cut through sometime in the last 24 hours.
How I will miss your big, toothless, gummy grins! I was dreading this day because I just love your smiles. It hurts my heart that you're getting to be such a big boy.
