It just doesn't end with this girl. She spits ALL THE TIME and it drives us crazy. I have read so many parenting websites about how to end this behavior and so far NOTHING has worked. I even read that you should flick your baby's cheek when they spit, but I couldn't imagine flicking that sweet babe. Well, in desperation, I tried it the other night. And not only did that method fail, I felt so bad I almost cried.
So I am taking a different approach now. I read that many kids spit because they know it's shocking behavior, so if I don't respond she'll quit doing it. I'm crossing my fingers that it works, because the spitting outbursts during Sunday School are starting to get a little old.
