My sis the cake genius made this ruffle cake.
I also made a ton of cake pops and we ordered cupcakes for our guests- since the theme of the party was cupcakes.
I used my cricut to make a birthday sign that we can use again next year:
Miss Kailee loved all the attention and unfortunately she cut a new tooth a few days before the party, so she wasn't quite herself as far as her appetite goes. She loved squishing her cake (especially with her feet) but wasn't especially interested in eating a whole lot of it.
For Kailee and Kody's shared birthday, Kody and I both took the day off work to take Kailee to the zoo. I think Kody had the most fun of all, as he kept telling me how much fun he was having. But Miss Kailee had a great time too. She loved the giraffes and monkeys the best.
She also watched a tiger go for a swim and stop to lap up some cool water right in front of her!
We stopped for lunch and Kailee got her very own corn dog which she quickly devoured.
After lunch and some light reading, Kailee was ready for more fun.
We rode the carousel and Kailee enjoyed it much more than the last time she rode the mall carousel.
Kailee's favorite ride of all- the train.
After a visit to the gift shop to buy Kailee a souvenir, she was exhausted. She fell asleep immediately when we put her in her carseat to go home.
We can't believe a year has gone by since our sweet baby girl was born. She has been such a blessing in both our lives and we love her so much. We are continually amazed at everything she does and are looking forward to another fun filled year with her!
